Chapter 2359 - 2335: Dinner or Deployment

After eating the food cooked by Liang Dong, Satan’s people all felt like they were in heaven. It’s baffling how they can’t hold their ground against the Yemenis who know nothing about good food.

Because they received a treatment only reserved for the elite, these guys truly began to consider themselves as the top assault team of the Houthis, which seems pretty normal.

Although it’s unclear what these people are thinking, Gao Yang definitely won’t say you’re overthinking.

"There’s still some meat stew left, eat as much as you want, eat till you’re done, and there’s more tonight."

After sending away two representatives, Gao Yang turned to Peter and asked: "How do you feel after spending some time with them?"

Peter shook his head and whispered, "Can I report to you after I finish eating?"

Gao Yang was taken aback; he thought Peter was about to share some insights, but instead, he was eager to go back and eat. So he whispered, "Alright, go ahead and eat first."

In half an hour, two pots of stewed lamb were gone, even the broth. Then Peter returned after settling down and organizing the people temporarily under his care.

Upon seeing Gao Yang, Peter exclaimed, "The unit I was in had the best food in Russia!"

"What are you trying to say?"

"No comparison!"

Gao Yang laughed heartily, as every time someone praised Liang Dong, he felt proud, because finding Liang Dong was truly a laborious job for him.

"Alright, tell me about these people. What do you think of them now, and how do you suggest utilizing them?"

Peter was silent for a moment, then said deeply, "These people have always lived in a highly chaotic country; war is instinctive for them. They haven’t received professional training, but their experience is very abundant. They know when to shoot, when to hide, when to retreat, although they can’t even march in a basic formation."

Gao Yang raised an eyebrow, happily saying, "You’re saying these people are actually useful?"

Peter gave a bitter smile and said, "No, what I mean is you should throw them out to snipe randomly; they are all experts. But if you want them to become a team, then they are useless. It’s basically impossible to mold them into a team that understands cooperation."

Gao Yang scratched his head and asked, "So what exactly is their individual combat capability?"

"It’s hard to tell, you’d need actual combat or organize a couple of training sessions to see."

Gao Yang sighed and said, "Guess they’ll eventually be a burden, expecting any great impact from them is unrealistic, just treat them like cannon fodder in crucial places. Actually, most soldiers from Middle Eastern countries are like this, not surprising."

After saying this, Gao Yang waved his hand and said, "I’ve decided to prepare a batch of knives for them, as a symbol of the Dagger Assault Team. But now, I also want to give each of them a water bottle with a lunchbox. Looking at these guys, I feel kind of sorry."

Peter just chuckled, and Gao Yang gestured towards Wolvitzki, who started cleaning pots and arranging dishes with Liang Dong, asking, "What do you think of this guy?"

Peter looked at Wolvitzki and whispered, "He’s a pretty good kid, college student, smart and courageous, with a bright future."

Gao Yang sighed, scratched his head, and said, "I’ve been thinking about how best to use him. This kid is particularly brave, and he’s also a top student. Just letting him be a regular mercenary feels like a waste. But to have him do something more suitable, I can’t think of what."

Peter whispered, "Boss, let him come with me."

"Hmm, what do you mean?"

Peter raised his hand and whispered, "His individual combat skills are actually ordinary, but this kid is inherently a leader for warfare. I used to lead soldiers; let him come and manage these Yemenis with me, let him acclimate a bit too."

Gao Yang whispered, "But we have no soldiers for him to lead. I originally planned to train him as a technical soldier, like a rocket launcher shooter. You know about his remarkable achievements, right?"

Peter said solemnly, "We have no soldiers now, but what about the future?"

Gao Yang pondered for a moment, nodded, and said, "Alright, I’ll assign him as your deputy to cultivate him as a command-type talent. Should the need arise in the future, he can be separated from Satan to specifically lead our overt troops, that’s also good."

After making up his mind, Gao Yang summoned Wolvitzki, smiling as he said, "You’ve been here a few days now, are you adjusting well?"

Wolvitzki wiped his sweat and said wryly, "It’s just a bit hot, everything else is fine. At least I feel more relaxed, not worrying about bombs dropping overhead."

Gao Yang laughed a few times, pointed to Peter, and said solemnly, "Starting now, you have a mission, which is to collaborate with Peter to lead the Dagger Assault Team. Liang Dong hesitated and said, "I was just about to ask your permission. Peter said the Dagger Assault Team strongly requested to have stewed lamb again tonight, but is it suitable to make the same dish twice? Or should I make something different for our guys?"

Gao Yang laughed heartily and said, "It doesn’t matter, two rounds won’t make us sick. Just stewed lamb, I’m waiting for it."

Gao Yang just watched, waiting as Liang Dong cooked two more pots of stewed lamb, and when the meat was about to be done, a group of people came over smelling the aroma, ready to eat. Just then, Salim came running over in a hurry, urgently saying, "Abdullah called, asking us to enter the city to support immediately."

Looking at the two pots of lamb almost ready, Gao Yang frowned and asked, "Now?"

"Yes, the sooner the better."

Gao Yang wiped his mouth and whispered, "What happened exactly?"

Salim also lowered his voice and said, "Actually, Lavagani’s side ran into trouble. It’s those Saudis, not many people but they’re very troublesome! Also, it was Lavagani and Abdullah who requested for you to be deployed."
