REINCARNATION OF THE STRONGEST WAR HERO

Chapter 366: Danger In The Horizon

Chapter 366: Danger In The Horizon

"I… Don't…" Arthur stammered, the arrogance and confidence from earlier completely gone, replaced by naked fear.Logan hadn't even broken a sweat. Yet every ally Arthur had brought, every scheme he had carefully prepared, had been destroyed in mere seconds.

Not minutes. Seconds.

Logan slowly raised his right hand. With a sharp hum, Audrey flew into his grasp. His fingers tightened around the sword's hilt as his cold gaze locked onto Arthur. "Don't?" Logan repeated calmly. "Don't tell me you don't miss your family, Arthur."

Arthur was far older than Logan — or at least, older than the Logan of this lifetime. Yet now, Logan addressed him directly by name, without the slightest trace of respect or consideration for his age.

"I… I…" Arthur tried to speak again, but the words refused to come out.

Just standing before Logan felt like being crushed beneath a mountain. His legs finally gave out.

Thud!

Arthur collapsed onto his knees, his entire body trembling uncontrollably. His head felt unbearably heavy, as though the surrounding air itself had solidified.

Then...

A flash of silver light cut through his vision.

It was neither fast nor flashy. Only precise.

The next moment, Arthur felt the world spinning around him. His head separated cleanly from his body and fell to the ground.

Silence enveloped the area once again. But Logan didn't spare the corpse another glance.

Instead, he immediately walked toward Alice and gently helped her stand up. "Do you have any healing potion with you, Master?" Logan asked while looking toward Ali Arkman.

The guild master hurriedly nodded and pulled out a vial of healing potion before quickly handing it over.

Without wasting a second, Logan fed the potion to Alice. Almost instantly, color returned to her pale face. Her wounds began healing rapidly before everyone's eyes, steam rising from her body with soft hissing sounds.

Meanwhile, Gideon and Luna moved to free Rowan, Lilith, and Daliah from their shackles.

The crisis had finally passed.

Yet…

A strange coldness still lingered in the air. Logan had saved them all, but the emotionless and decisive way he had carried out the massacre was difficult to forget.

For those few moments… It had felt as though Logan was no longer himself.

Only after Alice's condition fully stabilized did Logan finally let out a small smile. "Mother," he said softly, "I'm glad you're okay. And… I'm sorry for being late."

The moment they saw that familiar smile, everyone else finally relaxed as well. The suffocating dread lingering in the air slowly began to fade.

"You aren't late, honey," Alice said softly as she held onto Logan and slowly straightened her body. "It's just that we trusted the wrong people. Who could've imagined they would stoop so low? They even planned to use Da..." She suddenly stopped midway when her eyes landed on Daliah.

Daliah and Lilith had already grown up, but to Alice, they were still children. Just like Logan. Yet the aura surrounding him now made it difficult for anyone to truly see him as one anymore.

"We were so worried about you, Mrs. Smith," Daliah said sincerely.

"Yes. We're really glad you're okay," Lilith added before crossing her arms proudly. "Though honestly, it's not like those trash could've done anything to us anyway. I was just about to beat the shit out of them before Logan showed up."

The moment those words left her mouth, everyone burst into laughter. Even after everything that had happened, Lilith's rowdy personality hadn't changed in the slightest.

Not even a little.

"Logan," Rowan suddenly spoke as he stepped closer and placed a hand on his shoulder. "You were already far ahead of us before… but now…" He let out a helpless laugh. "At this point, we can't even dream of catching up to you anymore."

His eyes narrowed slightly. "How was your trip? You got stronger again, didn't you?"

Logan simply smiled faintly. "I just got lucky."

"Lucky, huh?" Rowan snorted. "I swear that word was created specifically for you."

Laughter erupted once more among the group.

Then Ali Arkman finally stepped forward.

"Logan," he began calmly, "let's head back to your house first. We can relax there and exchange stories properly." His expression turned slightly serious afterward. "And… regarding that matter, there are still some things I need to discuss with you."

Logan nodded without hesitation. "Sure."

The group soon arrived outside the courtyard. Inside one of the carriages, Rudeous lay unconscious. Fortunately, he wasn't in immediate danger. However, after suffering from severe malnutrition over the past few days, his body had given out. Ali handed another healing pill to Logan.

Without hesitation, Logan fed it to his father.

Rudeous didn't wake up immediately, but his condition visibly began improving under everyone's eyes.

Soon, everyone boarded the carriages and mounted their horses before setting off toward the Smith Villa.

While boarding on, Lilith and Daliah couldn't help but steal a few glances toward Logan, though neither of them said a word.

Their eyes, however, were filled with admiration. When Darius had dragged Daliah away with the intention of ruining her chastity, she had truly believed everything was over. Even Rowan had been powerless at that moment.

And then…

Logan appeared.

Like a knight in shining armor amidst absolute chaos.

Lilith, too, was deeply affected by Logan's overwhelming display of power. She had always considered herself a true prodigy. Back when she first met Logan during the Arcadia Young Elite Tournament, she had viewed him merely as a worthy challenge.

But now?

Logan had become someone even her parents would have to look up to. And for someone like Lilith — someone obsessed with strength — it was only natural for admiration to bloom within her heart. Perhaps it could've turned into jealousy instead. But although Lilith was prideful and hungry for power, she wasn't blind.

The carriages and horses continued galloping toward the Smith Villa while Rowan and Logan chatted heartily along the way.

Alice remained beside Rudeous, carefully taking care of him.

Meanwhile, Daliah and Lilith shared another carriage alongside the guild master, Gideon, and Luna.

Far away in the distance, however, two horses were rapidly racing toward the villa where Arthur had previously imprisoned everyone.

The riders atop them were Gazel and Syrus.

Suddenly...

Both horses came to an abrupt stop. "The cultivator is moving again," Syrus said in a grave tone.

"Follow the trail," Gazel ordered immediately.

Syrus nodded. The two men kicked their horses without hesitation.

Neighhhhh!

The horses reared onto their hind legs before bursting forward once more at full speed.
