Chapter 1 The Imprisoned
Chapter 1 The Imprisoned
"You will be a prisoner of Hogwarts! Until your death!"
In the pitch-black night, the aged voice pierced Lynch's eardrums. The violent vibrations of magic made the voice boom like an ancient god roaring in the forest.
Lin Qi looked up and saw a spell radiating dazzling light being released from the tip of the wand, winding and twisting as it pierced the night sky and rushed straight toward him. The light emitted by the spell illuminated the old man with his beard and hair standing on end behind him.
In a flash, Lin Qi tried to raise his hand to cast a spell to defend himself, but found that his right hand, which was holding the wand, was hanging limply at his side. He tried to move his feet to dodge, but was shocked to find that he was too weak to move his legs. With all his strength, he could only barely stand in place.
Before his brain could issue a third command, he felt a sharp pain in his chest; the old man's spell had struck him.
This was a powerful spell; the impact of the spell sent Lynch flying through the air and backward.
Lynch unconsciously loosened his right hand, and the pure white wand was thrown into the air, its tip drawing a semi-circular arc in the mist of the Forbidden Forest.
In the instant Lynch's body flew backwards through the air, the scale of time was stretched out under the high-speed operation of Lynch's mind, and everything around him seemed to become a slow-motion scene in a movie.
Because he was flying upside down, Lin Qi's face was naturally facing upwards, and his gaze naturally turned to the sky. The aftershocks of the battle destroyed many large trees, and the fallen trees tore a hole in the dense canopy of the Forbidden Forest, revealing the dark night sky.
He saw thick, dark clouds covering the entire sky, with not a single ray of starlight or moonlight able to penetrate. He glanced at the clouds again and, in a daze, seemed to see that terrifying, noseless face appear within them, emitting a silent, maniacal laugh.
With a thud, Lin Qi's body crashed heavily to the ground, letting out a muffled groan as he tasted blood.
Lin Qi opened his eyes and saw countless white bricks appear out of thin air, centered on the ground where his body was in contact with him. These bricks swirled and flew around him, making banging sounds as they automatically joined and piled up at an astonishing speed to become floor tiles and walls.
Lin Qi gritted his teeth, struggled to sit up, and looked sharply at the old man standing a dozen meters away.
The old man's deep blue eyes met Lin Qi's. Behind his half-moon spectacles, his eyes no longer shone with that intimidating light, and the expression on his face was no longer anger, but deep disappointment.
The automatically stacked brick wall continued to rise, swallowing everything in Lin Qi's line of sight from bottom to top, engulfing the old man's figure and blocking their view.
Lin Qi's arm loosened, and he lay back on the brick floor. He saw the bright moon in the night sky break through the clouds and reveal half of its disc, casting gentle moonlight on him. But as the bricks piled up, this moonlight quickly disappeared.
With a final bang, the last brick filled the last gap in the roof, shutting out all the light and plunging Lynch into complete darkness.
......
Lin Qi suddenly sat up in bed, breathing rapidly. His right hand unconsciously rubbed his chest, the place where he had been struck by the curse in his dream, and now he felt a faint phantom pain.
"I actually dreamed about that night. It's been almost ten years, but all the details of that day are still so clear. Why? Is it because the moment was approaching, and my instinct was to be afraid? That's why I dreamed about that night?" Lin Qi sat on the bed, talking to himself in a slightly low voice.
Lin Qi rolled out of bed and walked to the window. As he walked, he gently waved his hand, and the curtains automatically parted to the sides, letting in the sunlight that illuminated the entire bedroom.
Looking out the window through the glass, he saw that the Forbidden Forest was very quiet in the morning. The lingering morning mist shrouded the trees like a veil, and the morning light filtered through the gaps in the branches. Several robins perched on the branches, using their beaks to clean their feathers, which were wet with morning dew, in the morning light.
Lynch saw a ladybug fly out of the bushes and fly straight toward him, as if it had become interested in the white stone house standing in the clearing of the forbidden forest, or as if it wanted to get closer to observe the human at the window.
Lynch watched quietly as the ladybug flew toward him.
The moment the ladybug flew over the edge of the white bricks on the ground, a tiny, soft light flashed, leaving only a wisp of blue smoke drifting in the air.
Lin Qi watched the wisp of smoke dissipate, his reflection shimmering on the smooth glass.
Her short, jet-black hair was a little messy because she had just woken up, her delicate face was unusually fair because she spent most of her time indoors, and her dark eyes were deep and unfathomable.
"No!"
Lin Qi looked at his reflection in the glass, his gaze sharpening as it had been that night ten years ago.
He raised his hand to gently straighten his hair, and the messy hair became neat and tidy, combed into a smart three-seven parted hairstyle on his scalp.
"My instinct was telling me to pull myself together, the second round has begun!"
Watching the ladybug's last trace of existence disappear into the air, Lin Qi turned and left the bedroom.
Pushing open the bedroom door, the bathroom is on the right and the stairs leading downstairs are on the left.
After a quick wash in the bathroom, Lin Qi returned to his bedroom.
He opened the wardrobe, took out a three-piece suit that had been wrapped up, took off his pajamas, and changed into the suit.
Since he wasn't going out, he wasn't wearing a coat. He had a dark plaid tie around his neck, a gray vest that hugged his body, and a well-tailored suit that accentuated his sharp figure. On his feet were a pair of shiny brown Oxford shoes.
This outfit was bought a few months ago. For this important day, Lynch took his own measurements and then asked Hagrid to go to a tailor shop in London.
Although Hagrid may seem unreliable on a daily basis, he can actually complete the tasks assigned to him very well, and the clothes and shoes he buys are always a perfect fit.
Lin Qi looked at himself in the full-length mirror and thought for a moment.
Then he closed his eyes, and then opened them again.
The sharpness in his eyes disappeared, the corners of his mouth turned up slightly, and a warm smile appeared on his face.
His aggressiveness disappeared, and he appeared much more amiable.
I came out of the bedroom and went down the stairs to the first floor.
The furnishings on the first floor are extremely simple, with a circular space that can be seen at a glance from the top of the stairs.
The staircase runs along the wall, and the steps face a huge bookshelf that reaches almost to the ceiling, crammed full of books. Right next to the bookshelf on the right is a fireplace, the flames of which are currently extinguished.
Above the fireplace hung a half-broken bird beak mask, its remaining sharp beak pointing towards the center of the room.
A small square table sits in front of the fireplace, and a single high-backed sofa is placed diagonally to the side of the table.
To the right was another bookshelf, also reaching to the ceiling, its spines packed tightly together. Next to the bookshelf was a window, and in front of the window was a desk with a shorthand quill pen and a stack of draft paper on it.
The wall opposite the desk and window is another window and a simple stove.
This wall is also covered by floor-to-ceiling bookshelves, with books stacked layer upon layer.
A small round dining table was placed near the center of the room, next to the stove.
Lin Qi walked to the dining table and sat down. There was a brass bell on the table. He picked it up and shook it twice, and a breakfast appeared out of thin air on the table.
Breakfast was a simple bacon and egg omelet with a glass of milk.
Although he has been eating it for more than 20 years, Lynch still occasionally misses the abundant variety of breakfasts from that great Eastern country.
After finishing their meal, they rang the bell twice more, and the tableware on the table disappeared, replaced by a newspaper with the headline "The Daily Prophet."
Lynch picked up the newspaper and sat down on the armchair in front of the fireplace.
With a flick of the wrist, flames ignited in the fireplace, dispelling the slight chill of the morning.
Lynch leaned back in his chair, unfolded the newspaper with his left hand, and the headline of the front-page article caught his eye.
Stone Tower Merchant Guild announces new series of battle cards
Right palm facing up.
A golden Galleon, reflecting the flames of the fireplace and shimmering in the air, floats above the palm of your hand.
Like a satellite in the universe, it rotated leisurely on its own axis while also revolving rhythmically around Lin Qi's palm.
Lynch sat there, his attention neither on the newspaper in his left hand nor on the galleon spinning in his right.
On this special morning, his thoughts drifted back to the past, buried deep in his memory.
I never thought time travel was a real thing, but it actually happened.
In the blink of an eye, in the time it takes to sleep, he went from an ordinary young man living in a major Eastern country in the 21st century to a five-year-old boy living in an industrial area in northern England in 1970.
The mother passed away early, and the father and son made a living by making a living through their small shoe-making workshop.
While cutting and mending at the workbench, old Lynch would sit in a corner of the workshop heating the leather adhesive, at which time a slight burnt smell always filled the air.
The father and son relied on each other for several years, and Lin Qi accepted this new life.
Unfortunately, fate always likes to play tricks on people.
First, I encountered two teenagers, a boy and a girl, arguing in the community park.
The man's name is Severus Snape.
The woman's name is Lily Evans.
Lin Qi began to vaguely sense that something was wrong.
It wasn't until the letter delivered by the owl arrived that the truth hidden beneath the surface of the world was finally understood.
A magical world.
To make matters worse, this is a magical world in the midst of war.
The shadow of Voldemort loomed over the entire British magical world. This cruel dark lord gathered a large number of fanatical followers with his absolute pure-blood theory.
They call themselves Death Eaters, and are marked by skull and snake tattoos. They have an extreme hatred for all hybrids or wizards who have close ties with Muggles.
In this situation, a child from the Muggle world enters Hogwarts.
He even caused quite a stir during the Sorting Ceremony, which ultimately led him to become a member of Ravenclaw.
Therefore, when malicious eyes are cast upon us, tragedy becomes inevitable.
"Knock knock knock..."
A sudden knock on the door outside the stone house interrupted Lin Qi's reverie.
He clenched his right hand tightly, gripping the Galleon firmly in his palm.
Lin Qi put down the newspaper, stood up, and a warm smile reappeared on his face.
He walked to the door, reached out and pulled open the heavy oak door, looked at the person outside, and greeted them with a smile.
"It's been a long time, Headmaster Dumbledore."
